I have been working in Fitness since July of 1995! I started as a Group X Instructor and then became a Personal Trainer in 1998. I have been working in Fitness Management since 1999. My greatest pleasure in my work in Fitness is helping others become comfortable with working out and exercise and helping them to Help Themselves in achieving their goals and Maintaining a Healthy Lifestyle. Fitness and Health is a journey that you must make a part of your life and learn to enjoy! Fitness comes in all shapes and sizes. My main focus with clients is for them to be happy with themselves and to be able to enjoy the activities in their daily lives. This could be simply picking up their grandchildren without aches and pains or completing their fitness goal of completing a Marathon.

Chris Roach (Personal Trainer)
I’m a Veteran that specializes in developing people mentally, physically and emotionally. I am a Home Fitness Training Specialist and a Certified Personal Trainer recognized by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the National Council on Strength & Fitness, the Home Fitness Professionals Association and the National Personal Training Institute. I also have certifications in Basic Nutrition, Kettlebell Training and TRX (Suspension Training). My passion is driven by the opportunity to help others reach their goals and exceed them! Tamara Leuschen (Personal Trainer)
I am an AFAA certified Personal Fitness Trainer (2011) and specialize in individualized training focused on sports performance, full body conditioning, and core strength. I work with my clients to achieve goals and enjoy designing a fitness program to improve athleticism, get fit, tone, lose weight, and feel great. As a 4.5 tennis player with a background in triathlons, swimming, and running, I love to play and compete.
I am a Richmond native and a UVA Graduate with certifications in TRX, Indoor Cycling, Yoga, and Pilates. Don't be afraid of your swimsuit! Set goals, do the work, and be proud and confident.

Deanna Courter (Personal Trainer)
My love of fitness began at the age of 6, when my mom enrolled me in gymnastic classes. I fell in love. I participated and competed for 12 years as a USGF gymnast and on my high school state championship team. During that time I also trained with a ballet company in Pointe, ballet, and jazz. I went on to earn my BS in Biology from the University of Mary Washington, got married, had 4 babies, taught a ton of aerobics classes, trained many clients, and then went back to school and earned my Associates of Nursing. I am currently a Registered Nurse (RN) working in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
During college I was looking for something to stay fit and discovered running and group exercise classes (aerobics, as we used to call it). I have been running ever since competing in multiple 10K’s and half marathons. I have been a certified group exercise instructor since 1994 and a certified personal trainer since 1998. I made the decision to stay home with my children and teaching classes and training clients was the perfect balance. I love, love, love health and wellness and enjoy encouraging and guiding others to find their passion that will help them lead healthier lives.
