Tamara Leuschen

Tamara is an AFAA certified Personal Fitness Trainer (2011) and specializes in individualized training focused on sports performance, full body conditioning, and core strength.  She works with clients to achieve goals and enjoy designing a fitness program to improve athleticism, get fit, tone, lose weight, and feel great.  As a 4.5 tennis player with a background in triathlons, swimming, and running, Tamara loves to play and compete. 

Tamara is a Richmond native and a UVA Graduate with certifications in TRX, Indoor Cycling, Yoga, and Pilates. Don’t be afraid of your swimsuit!  Set goals, do the work, and be proud and confident.

Deanna Courter

Deanna is an AFAA certified Personal Trainer, AFAA certified Group Exercise Instructor, and Registered Nurse. She began her career in 1994 teaching group exercise, then expanded her knowledge and career and became a certified personal trainer in 1998.  As a former gymnast and dancer she trains clients in full body, functional workouts that incorporate a variety of equipment and modalities.  She enjoys working with clients to help them achieve strength, increased mobility, knowledge, and a love for health and wellness. Deanna’s goal is to also teach clients that working out can be fun and to help them understand the relationship between strength and mobility and it’s impact on their daily lives.  As an RN she is comfortable and experienced working with clients with chronic disease and wants to help them achieve their best life while living with their chronic disease.

Deanna earned her BS in Biology from the University of Mary Washington, her Associates in Nursing from J. Sargeant Reynolds, is a certified cycling instructor, is currently working on her 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training, and works part time as a Cardiac Rehab nurse. 

On a personal note Deanna is an avid runner and yogi as well as “a work in progress” cyclist and hiker. She enjoys being a mom to four children, walking her dog, meditating, and any activity outside.

He also have certifications in Basic Nutrition, Kettlebell Training and TRX (Suspension Training). His passion is driven by the opportunity to help others reach their goals and exceed them! Alexander Bear

Alexander is a NASM certified personal trainer, ACE certified health coach, registered yoga teacher, wilderness first responder, and holds a master’s degree in nutrition. He began working in the fitness industry in 2013 as a personal trainer and Yoga teacher.

He transitioned into working as a wilderness therapy recovery guide in 2015. As a guide, Alexander helped young men suffering from alcohol and drug addiction learn new strategies for handling the ups and downs of life.

In 2017, he began studying nutrition in Portland, OR. While obtaining his degree, he taught cooking and nutrition education classes and provided nutrition counseling services at a holistic health clinic.

He is now happy to be settling down in Richmond with his partner Charlotte. Alexander’s training philosophy is to meet clients where they are and use his education and experience to create customized plans to help them achieve their fitness and wellness goals.

Ed Carrillo

Ed spent over 10 years in the United States Marine Corps. and served in Operation Desert Storm.  He has also studied and earned a 1st Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate, as well as 2nd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo.  He has been trained in Krav Maga for over 5 years as well.

With over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, his experience involves the most important aspect of running a fitness business, including management, sales marketing, customer service, personal training and group exercise instruction.  He understands that a successful fitness service organization develops relationships with clients by listening to their needs and ensuring that they are getting what they have requested.    

He has always felt strongly about creating a mutually beneficial relationship with everyone who chooses to be a part of a fitness journey.  This includes not only the clients, but also all the great trainers with which he has had the pleasure to mentor and work alongside.  This relationship is the foundation of his continued success in the fitness world, because EVERYONE WINS!!!!
